Soil Building : Regenerative Practices

Why it Matters

Many people don’t realize the food crisis that we face today. The loss of the world’s fertile soil, biodiversity, and the loss of indigenous seeds and knowledge is a literal threat to our survival. According to soil scientists, at current rates of soil destruction from decarbonization, chemical pollution, erosion, and desertification is in a crisis state. Within 50 years we will suffer serious damage to public health due to a degraded food supply due to diminished nutrition and loss of important trace minerals, but we will no longer have enough fertile topsoil to feed ourselves. Fake foods such as lab grown meat, hydroponics, vitamins, and fertilizers are not the solution. Without protecting and regenerating the soil that we have polluted through fertilizers and pesticides, our 4 billion acres of farmland, 8 billion acres of pastureland, and 10 billion acres of forest, will no longer be able to feed the world, keep global warming below 2 degrees Celsius, or halt the loss of biodiversity. Food is medicine and soil makes food.

Design and Management

Custom designs to suit our clients goals.

Management plans: we recognize that while it may be a passion for many of our clients, some may not have the time to give their gardens the attention needed to thrive and be productive. For this, we have service plans available to meet your goals.

Indoor Growing

While we encourage outdoor or greenhouse as primary methods for a variety of reasons, we recognize the role indoor cultivation has in our society. Some of our clients may live in apartments without south facing windows suitable for growing plants, and other may not have the means to implement a greenhouse. To this, we work with our clients to implement natural systems that bio mimic nature rather than adhere against it within the indoor environment.

The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all our most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is our only hope.
